This is some highly tripped out stuff, 7 minutes of madness, in line with other MIDI weirdness from Fall 89

Did you have a ticket?
This was my first road trip show. We drove 9 hours and I was supposed to meet a friend who had my ticket. (All I had to do was find him amongst 25,000 of my closest friends in the days before the cell phone) I found him about 20 minutes before the show so even though it was cutting it close, I was in! The folks I rode down with were ticketless and the show was way SOLD OUT so they had to chill in the lot. (That sucks, did that once and that was that) Next night? Tickets were flowing like water. One of the girls I rode down with bought a ticket for $5 and a hug. Did anyone camp at Carowinds and check out the MASSIVE pile of debris from the Hurricane Hugo recovery? As for the show itself, it was okay but I do remember Brent falling and the show in general seeming out of sorts. Next night kicked ass!

rippin' show
I didn't notice any of this alleged tiredness; this is NOT an off night. In fact, I think it was a far better show than the next night. Great Blow Away, and one of the best HelpSlipFranks I ever saw.

johnyg3 hit it right on. ive always thought that about this show, i did the hamptons, spectrums and these and left this show feeling like it was an off night, somehting wasnt right with the whole vibe or something. but the next night things seemed to be refreshed and back to normal again!

I think it was good -
I am biased, this show being my first Dead show, but sounds pretty crispy, Brent / Blow Away always gets me going.

It's not that bad
This is not a bad show, there are a few musical flubs but it's not really that noticeable. They have a little trouble with Help>Slip, but that's only because it's the fourth time they played it in eight years.

eek!!!
The band was worn out and it showed here. I mean after Hampton, Meadowlands, Spectrum, could you blame them? I did not, but it was disappointing. Help>Slip>Franklins was a trainwreck and I hate to use that term. They did rebound the next night. I mean their only human. Right??
